    fished today off of Holland on sea, nothing on the ebb 12 codling on the flood 6 to keep and the biggest pouting ever seen, highlander out of Brightlingsea floated by in need of assistance took her under tow, took John edge of times advice and cut her loose out side Brightlingsea harbour when i released the tow realised I was still under-way dived into the cabin and head butted it but being a Bradwell boy, kept my hat on and kept my cool.

  4. Point Clear 13/12/11

    Went down to point clear for a few hours fishing and high tide was at 1335 hrs. This was the first time i've ever fished here. A local chap got chatting to me and pointed out that it fishes well here in the summer for Bass and Mullet. He couldnt say what it fished like in winter because its too cold to fish then LOL. It was a bit blustery but the sea was chocolate brown. I was using squid and lug on a pulley rig. Couldn't cast out that far due to the wind being head on, only about 40-50 yards. I ...

  5. Walton Pier 10/12/11

    So i got up when it was dark and caught the train to Walton. Got there in time to watch the sun rise out of the ocean which is always a nice sight to see. Got on the pier at 0830 and walked down to the end and set up just past the lifeboat hut, to the left of it as you face it. Bitter cold is an understatement and the wind dropped the temp even more. I fished both sides of the pier throughout the day using lug and squid and lug/squid cocktail.
